Holly comes to us from the state of North Dakota. She was born and raised in Fargo and moved to West Linn with her husband, Pastor Dave and six children in 2011.

She holds a Bachelors of Science Degree as well as her Associates in Ministry degree. She has been involved in teaching and ministry for over 30 years and has a huge passion for Jesus, children, music and missions.
Her love for music and children has led her to start and direct the Corner Children’s Choirs that sing during the year in our congregation and throughout our community. Her love for the world has called her to serve on ministry teams with Teen Missions International to Spain, Campus Crusade for Christ to Argentina, Corner of Love Ministry to Nicaragua, Foundation for His Ministry to Mexico, International Exchange to Japan, Reciprocal Ministries International to Haiti, and with the Imani Milele Children in Uganda, Africa.
She is very excited to serve with the team at Community of Faith and is thankful for all the children and families that will be coming into her life and heart.

Director of Worship Ensembles
Alexandra Wenig joined the worship staff at Community of Faith in the fall of 2017. A Texas native, she previously served as Director of Music and the Arts at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Kingwood, TX, a suburb of Houston. Alex is passionate about music in Christian worship, and values integrating songs and hymns of the modern era as well as sharing powerful music written by saints that walked in centuries before, sharing an ancient, deep, and common experience. These varied styles are reflected in her solo album, Offering, a project which explores her love of spiritually connective classical music as well as her interest in songwriting. All profits from Offering will go to the benefit of Tumaini Orphanage in Soy, Kenya.
Before she was called into worship ministry as a vocation, Alex played for 14 seasons as a member of the Houston Symphony’s first violin section. She enjoys traveling with husband Steve and sons Noah and Gabriel and pursuing beauty wherever it is found.

Julia grew up in a pastor’s family moving where the Lord called, including, Minot, ND; Lubbock, TX; Springfield, MO, New Orleans, LA; and Coquille, OR before graduating from high school in Beaverton, OR. She attended Portland Community College and George Fox University.
Educational and work experience opportunities abounded as Julia served in roles with A Christian Ministry in The National Parks, Youth With a Mission, and doing medical mission work in Honduras. A joy of swimming led Julia to become a certified life guard and swim instructor while working in the public school system as an instructional assistant working with special education students. Following her marriage to Todd McBride, Julia worked in administrative and executive assistant positions in the non-profit sector before spending time at home when her two children were born.
Julia has been office manager at Community of Faith Church since 2016. She continues to be amazed by how God has pulled together many of the best experiences of her life to bring her to this community where we seek to Love God, Love Others, and Serve the World.

Statement of Faith
Community of Faith confesses, teaches, and holds fast to the following:
- The Father, Creator of all that exists (Genesis 1:1, Hebrews 11:3);
- Jesus Christ, the Son, who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all human beings and to rise to life again in the ultimate victory over sin, death, and the devil (1 Timothy 1:15, 1 John 2:2); and
- The Holy Spirit, who creates faith through God’s Word and the Sacraments (1 Corinthians 12:3, John 3:5).
We confess and teach the basics of the Christian faith summarized in four brief phrases of the Reformation of the 16th Century—relevant for the past, present, and future church: Grace Alone, Faith Alone, Scripture Alone, and Christ Alone.
By His suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him (Ephesians 2:8, John 3:16).
The Bible is God’s inspired and inerrant Word; it reveals both law and gospel; it points us to the only savior of the world —Jesus Christ—and is the sole rule, norm, and authority for Christian life. We believe the Word of God— the Word (Jesus Christ), the proclaimed Word (the Gospel) and the Written Word (the Bible)—is the source and authority for our life of faith (Romans 10:17, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16).
Community of Faith shall embrace and conduct its operations and ministries in accordance with the Bible. The Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds, and the Book of Concord, attest to the witness of the Bible and will be used as guiding expressions of the Christian faith.
Members of Community of Faith also uphold these Biblical values:
- We believe we are called to love God and others (Matthew 22:37-39) and to fulfill Christ’s mandate to make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20).
- We believe that sexual intimacy is a created gift of God designed and intended for one man and one woman in the bond of marriage (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:31, Exodus 20:14, Romans 1:26-27).
- We believe in the worth, value, and sanctity of human life created in God’s image. We believe God has created each of us with purpose to bring glory to His name (Psalm 139:13-14, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
